The lastest round of the competition closed on June 5th 2007. Judging took place during the Summer term, and the presentation ceremony was held in September 2007.
Award Criteria
The 2007 round focused on three areas (See below for more details):

- Curriculum development: using an existing garden in the curriculum
Please send us your questions and queries so that we can monitor the progress of the applications and add a FAQ page to our site.
All entries must be submitted on CD/DVD or a website (which must be accessible to the REEP team).

Extra Information
- Faith Gardens
There are garden traditions in most of the world’s faiths. This year we are focusing on Islamic Gardens which always contain clearly defined symbolic features and which reflect some of the most ancient traditions of formal gardening. In the Autumn term an extensive web feature will help you with the design of such gardens and the thinking behind them.
If you do not wish to make an Islamic garden, you can choose to make another type of faith garden, and the existing REEP ‘virtual gardens’ feature will help you with this but there will be no new faith material other than for Islamic gardens in this round. - Gardens and The Arts
This category encourages schools to use sacred text in their garden design. The text may be from any faith and in any art form. - Curriculum Development
This category is for schools which already have a garden and may have won an award in previous years. Is the garden just an attractive place or is it really used to promote children’s learning and personal development? Do you have evidence of how you use your garden as a teaching resource? Is the space itself a venue for contemplation, worship, drama or story telling? If so, how have you designed the garden so that it makes an impact on the people involved?
