This series of dialogues is organised by Claire Foster, who is also a REEP Trustee. With a fascinating range of topics and eminent speakers, this series is a must for anyone who can make it to St Paul's on Tuesday evenings in September. A series of smaller seminars following up the lectures will take place in October and November.

March 2004: Pilgrimage Pages

To coincide with the last episode of 'My Camino' REEP is launching a new section of the site: The REEP Pilgrimage Pages.

The Pilgrimage Pages will gradually fill out over the course of this year and will look at pilgrimage in all of the major world religions, as well as some stories of pilgrims old and new. The section will provide material and ideas that will help teachers explore with their students the interrelationship of religious ideas of environmental issues through the concept and practise of pilgrimage.

Walking the Camino

In the summer of 2003, five young people from Hungary set out to walk the 500 mile trek that is known as the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

István’s story is the first in a new series of articles on Pilgrimage in all its forms, which will form the REEP Pilgrimage section beginning in April 2004. Follow István and his friends on their journey from Hungary to Spain.

February 2004: REEP Awards 2004-2005

We are delighted to announce that Sir Kenneth Carlisle has kindly agreed to chair the panel of Judges in our new round of REEP Awards.

This year sees new categories and these will be announced at the end of February 2004. The closing date, also to be announced, will be during Spring 2005.

Meanwhile, thank you to all those who have already sent in enquiries and begun to think about their possible entries. There's plenty of time for whole schools, classes, after-school clubs and small groups to start looking for spaces great and small that can be transformed into a garden that reflects spiritual and community values, or to think about designing the garden using ICT, or to find new partnerships. Look on last year's site for some starter ideas.

January 2004: CABE Built Environment Seminar Series

CABE - the Commission for Architecture and the Built Environment - are holding a series of educational seminars across England in February-March 2004. The aim is to provide an exchange of information about best practice and the potential of built environment education. All seminars will be tailored to events on the ground in the region and are aimed primarily at teachers and other educators. A PDF document with details of the seminars is available here.
