Gaspar lives here with his partner Ruth. Unlike the King family,
they are not indifferent to spiritual matters - quite the opposite!
They have spent holidays in Indian and Sri Lanka. Both Buddhism
and Hinduism appeal to their sense of the exotic and to their feeling
that there is another dimension to existence.
But they wouldn't be seen dead in a church. It seems too
repressive. They won't be celebrating Christmas, apart maybe from
a few drinks at the pub on Christmas Day. They think nature is important,
though. In fact you might call them 'New Age'. As far as worship
is concerned, they feel most comfortable with pagan rituals - like
gathering with friends for a do-it-yourself druid ritual round the
bonfire at the Winter Solstice...
