Jeff Saward, Mitchell Beazley, 2002. A wonderful picture book but also well informed with lots of solid information. Well worth investigating.

Mazes Ancient and Modern,
Robert Field, Tarquin Publications, 1999. A short pamphlet-book. A useful introduction, with lots of plans.
