Modern Mazes

In recent years there has been a tremendous revival in the design and creation of mazes. New kinds of maze have been invented- colour mazes, for example, where the maze-explorer chooses a colour sequence to follow before entering the maze. By following the different coloured paths within the maze, according to the chosen sequence, the explorer will eventually reach the centre. But each colour sequence generates its own unique route – there are many paths to the shared goal. (One of these mazes features in Week 4 of the Advent Calendar.)
