This interactive quiz can be used by pupils on their own or in small groups. It is suitable for more able upper Key Stage 1 pupils (especially if helped with the reading) and Key Stage 2

It aims to underline the ideas that

II. Not all lifestyles are sustainable

The following activities could be used as introduction or development
  I. A debate on what we value about the world around us - in the immediate locality, further afield, nationally and locally.
  I. A display of drawings of our ideal homes and the areas around them.
  I. A discussion of the different merits of town and country living. What are the benefits and disadvantages of each? The house in the picture looks as if it is a house in the country. What are the problems of keeping a block of flats in the town as a good place to live?
  I. The activity about Easter Island from this site.

Individual older children, or groups, could invent their own quiz, using a PowerPoint or other interactive computer programme, and relating it to environmental issues in their own neighbourhood, e.g. waste disposal, noise pollution, open spaces, or remake the graphics for the original quiz as if it were situated in a town.
