AIM
To raise awareness of water as

- One of the most common and powerful images / symbols in religious thought and writing

- One of the most important environmental issues, particularly in terms of water availability and cleanliness
TARGET
  Key Stages 2-4
USING THE RESOURCE
This feature looks at four aspects of water. For each you will find

1. a story or stories from the faith traditions
2. a list of suggested activities and web sites for further investigation.

The materials are presented either for adaptation by teachers or direct use by older/more able students. However, many of the activities on the linked websites (e.g. the BBC wetlands material and the US Environmental Protection Agency Kid's Page) can be used directly by pupils.

We have deliberately not divided material into Key Stages; most can be adapted successfully for different ages/abilities.

Stories can be read out loud and could be adapted by the pupils to make a collective worship.

For potential links with the RE and Science curricula, see Syllabuses section on this site.
